Online Desk: Noakhali's Kabirhat Upazila Narottampur and Sundalpur Union Parishad election chairman candidate's three ballots have 'Khaleda Zia's release wanted' written and sealed. One of the ballot papers was sealed and two were handwritten.
The three ballots were found during the counting of votes in the two unions on Sunday (December 26) afternoon. Its pictures went viral on social media.
It is learned that two of the three ballots were found in Narottampur Union. In one of them, 'I want Khaleda Zia released' seal for Kabirhat Upazila Chhatra Dal, in the other handwritten. On the other hand, the ballot papers found in Sundalpur were handwritten.
Kabirhat Upazila Election Officer. Monirul Islam said, "If such a ballot is found, it is considered void." These ballots have also been canceled.
District BNP general secretary Advocate Abdur Rahman said, "Party leaders and activists are agitating all over the country demanding the release of Khaleda Zia." So it seems that no leader or activist has done this emotionally. Ballot papers with such writings have been found before. '
Earlier, in the third phase of Sonargaon Union Parishad elections in Narayanganj, a seal was found on a ballot paper saying 'I want Khaleda Zia released'.
